I love books. And I really love buying books. I always feel like book buying is a pretty guilt-free way to shop, as you’re expanding your mind and all that good stuff. And while I have no interest in giving the practice up altogether, it occurs to me that it might be a good idea to reduce the volume of books that I buy. At least in the category of fiction… Because I buy fiction books by the bagful, and burn through them pretty quickly. I’m pretty good about donating them if I’m not going to read them again, but I could take that one step further and just not buy them in the first place. So I’m library bound. At least once a month, I will do a library trip to stock up on fiction books for myself, and kid books for my daughter. I’m going to put it in my monthly task list right now.
Oh, and I’m also going to create a list of all the things I’ve committed to so far. Not sure yet where in my blog it’s going to live – I’ll let you know once it’s done. This is so you can see all the things I’ve pledge to do, but also for my own sake so I don’t promise to do the same thing twice!
