Who am I?

In this blog I hope to share “green bits” that have helped me do my part to help reduce our collective impact on the planet.  If that sounds daunting, rest assured I am a lazy environmentalist – I practice personal energy efficiency above all else!  So I won’t advocate that you sell your car, live in a yurt, and eat nothing but kale and tofu.  Instead, I hope to offer some tips and ideas that may shift your perspective and allow you to make (tiny, manageable, easy) different choices.

I live in a century house in Guelph with my partner, dog and two small but ferocious daughters – all of whom are, like me, happiest when they’re outdoors.  I read obsessively, garden sporadically, and cook/bake with more enthusiasm than skill. I hope you enjoy my blog, and would love to hear your green ideas!

  1. Hello there!
I enjoy reading your blog! I have been wondering if there is anything we can do to get rid of so much plastic going to landfill besides the obvious elimination of plastic grocery bags. Are there any alternatives out there that you know of? Any food companies committed to decreasing plastic packaging?
    Keep up the good work!
